On thursday Eric and I went to a town about 80 miles south of us for him to speak to the Exchange Club there. He often gives weather talks, but they wanted to hear about the wreck, so that is what he talked about. A local newspaper editor is a memeber of the club and wrote a brief story on us from what he heard Eric talk about. Some of his details are faulty, but not so much so that I have a problem with it. The facts he didn't get straight are as follows,...
The Jeep the woman that hit us was driving MAY not have been stolen, and he says that it wasn't stolen. We were told that the jeep shouldn't have been released to the owners if it had been stolen, because it would have been a crime scene and evidence. Since it was released to the owners we have reason to question if it was stolen or not, but no proof either way.
The cards, letters and emails number closer to 700-800, not 1,500.
He also didn't get all my injuries listed, but, oh well. It was a pretty good article overall.

In other news, we had another interview with WLBT as an update on the legal side of the wreck. The woman who hit us has still not been charged with hurting us, and both sides are playing the blame game. So Howard is trying to sort out the mess, and he sat down and talked to us about it. I think it will be a good story. It hasn't aired yet, probably because he is trying to get a statement from the police department and so far has only been told to call back later. We will see what Howard digs up!

Eric is working the morning shows this coming week, so our schedule will be a mess I am sure! It also means that Eric gets to double back two nights in a row. He will work all shows on the weekend, as normal, and then Sunday night after the 10pm show, get a very few hours of sleep and have to head back in around 3am for the morning show. Poor guy will sleep good monday afternoon when he gets home! Our sleeping schedule will probably be something like 6pm-3am. Weird, I know! With him at work so much this week, at least I'll get lots of lesson plans done!!! :)
