I've been sewing a lot. I have 4 of the 15 squares done, and another one started. I do love the embroidery, but it can make my head hurt after a while. :)
Eric has been sorting out mementos from his school years. He has 6 big baskets of things in his closet, he wants to pare it down a little and get things organized. Right now, the papers and other mementos are spread across my spare bedroom floor. It is a work in progress.
We did some bargin shopping today. We watch the sale adds and stock up on things when we find a good deal. CVS and Walgreens both can beat Walmart's price with their sales. So if they have shampoo and conditioner on sale, or the soap we use, etc, we stock up. Like today, we found the deoderant Eric uses, which is normally about $2.75 for 4oz at Walmart, $1.00 for 2oz at Walgreens. Even though it is a smaller size, the price is still a good deal, so we bought about 10 of them. That should last a while. :) We did the same thing a few weeks ago with my shampoo and conditioner. What is normally $1.09 apiece at Walmart (and not all the walmart's have it), ended up being about 64 cents apiece. So we got six sets. That will last me a while, and when I catch it on sale again, I will grab a few more. And this week at Kroger, our bar soap was on sale for1.79 for a 2 pack, where as at Walmart, it is 2.29 normally. But Kroger also had a coupon for 50 cents off the sale price, and they double the coupon, so it was $1.00 off. So we ended up getting the two bars for 79 cents. It may be a little savings here and a little savings there, but it can add up over time! Plus it is one less thing I have to get at walmart, and I would rather avoid Walmart whenever possible. Teach them to take away the fabric section! (not that they will care!)
The new fish tank is still a work in progress, but we hope to get the lid cut at the glass shop this week, and maybe get the filter as well, it kinda depends on how much the lid ends up being price wise.
