As of 5/13/2007 I have my quilt top put together!!!
Here are a few 'reminder' pics to show part of the process.
First the blue/purple strips.

Then, I had to get all 15 embroidered squares done.

Once they were done, I was able to put the pink/green strips together.

Over the last few weeks, I have been putting the strips together, and here is the finished quilt top.

There are still several things yet to do before the quilt is done. I have the backing cut and washed, but I need to sew it together. It is just one long seam, and will not take long. I plan to add a 10" wide strip of the white material to each side of the quilt, making it wider, so it is better for sharing. I will then layer the three pieces together, the quilt top, the backing and the middle layer, the batting. After those are sewn together, it will be time to either tie the quilt layers together with yarn in spots here and there, or use my sewing machine and sew the layers together in spots. There are pros and cons to either option and I have not decided wich way I am going to go.
I am very pleased with how it is turning out!
