I have some exciting news! We are moving! Ok, so we are just moving across town, but the house we are moving into is great! We met with the landlord on saturday, and gave him the deposit. He seemed nice.

We have ordered the wall paper for the bathroom, (what is up on the walls in there now is a navy pattern, and it is too busy for my taste) it is pastel green stripes, narrow ones, not like mint green, more like two shades of sage. We also got permission to plant a garden and do improvments on the yard. We are excited about that!

Anyway, we are officially moving the 15th of September, but he was fine with us moving things over as we can from about the 6th on. One of the first things we will do is move the fish tanks. That will be a entire day right there!

My Mom and Dad are coming down labor day weekend to help us take the bed apart and move the heavy things down the stairs. We will hope to get some one to come the 15th and help us load the couch and bed on the truck. Those are about the only things we couldnt do ourselves. We have already started packing boxes and sorting out what we plan to sell at a yard sale and what needs to be tossed, etc. The mess is already stressing me out. I WANTED to do this???? lol, the little house is worth it!! I'll post some pics in the next few weeks.

I had pre-op stuff yesterday and the surgery is Thursday. Im Dr Geissler's first case of the day, so I have to be at the hospital by 5:45 am. fun. The proceedure itself should be short, about 20-25 minutes. All the waiting and the recovery room time afterwards will be much longer! I should be home by around lunch time though, assuming all goes well.

I dont know whether Ill attempt the stairs thursday or not, and I plan to sleep on the air mattress on the livingroom floor if needed.

The crutches will be for balance only, so I can do away with them whenever I am ready the Dr says. Im free to do whatever I feel able to do (within reason, so no skydiving or anything like that). Ill have the surgical dressing on for three days and on the third day I can shower again! hurrah! NO stiches, can you believe it? I guess cause the incisions are going to be small.

I am ready to get this done and over with!
