So today is Sunday, and Eric worked this morning and came home with a scratchy throat and went to bed. We got up and moving around 11, the rain has made my shoulder and hand and leg fairly miserable and I didn't sleep the best.
We went up to Petsmart to get some fish food, and they were out of what we were looking for and we decided to go to Flowood (suburb of Jackson) to the other Petsmart. They had three pens of adorable puppies out to be petted and we had to oblige them. Then we had to stop and speak to the birds and the cats. Then we got over to the fish. Then I saw him, a vibrant shimmery blue betta just begging to go home with us.
The pictures just do not do him justice. I have heard Bettas called "jewels of the sea" and I think that is an excellent comparison. He is a swimming jewel.
He still needs a name. It has to be a special name because he is so very special and beautiful. Any name suggestions are very welcome.
Well, Eric had to head back to work for the 10pm show. He is off tomorrow and we plan to have a nice lazy day at home. Tuesday he has a dentist appointment to get two cavaties filled. OH joy.

I am new to the world of blogging as well. I've heard much buzz about them, but this is actually the first one I've read! Your new fish is gorgeous, which means a lot as you know I'm not the biggest fish fan. :-)
