Well, I've done a bit of sewing on my quilt today, and a bit of ironing of seams. So far things are going great, and I am enjoying seeing the quilt top take shape. I love the materials I'm using. They are all pretty pastel colors, and they look really great together. I love color, and seeing the materials look so nice together makes me feel happy.
I've been sewing the colors in sets of two. Green and pink, since there are 3 pink materials and 2 green ones, that has been a wee bit more confusing. So there are three kinds of green and pink pairs. I sewed some of the pairs together, but around the edge of the quilt, there will be half-squares, so some of the pairs did not need to be sewn together.
Blue and purple are my other sets, I have 2 different kinds of blue material and 2 different purples, so there are two differnt sets of pairs. Because I dont want the same sets touching, I had to draw out a diagram of the quilt top. Now I know how many of each kind of pair needs to be sewn into squares, and how many can be left as pairs for around the outer edge of the quilt.
I dont know if any of that makes any sense, but as long as I understand it, I suppose it doesnt matter!
Eric and I are at the station now, he is getting ready for the 10pm newscast. I'm killing time on here, and I brought a book with me. I don't come with him very often, but since yesterday he was gone all day, he mentioned he would enjoy my company this evening. I'm not sure how much company I am, since I need to be quiet and let him get his forecast and show done, but if it makes him happy to have me along, I'm not going to complain. :)
