We are heading into a long week this week. After working his normal double shift this weekend, Eric is working the morning shift mon-fri, and then his normal double shift next weekend. The morning shift is not a fun shift. He will go into work around 3am, and not get home until 1:30pm. It is a long, long shift. Which also means our sleeping schedule this week will be funky too. We have slept during the day this weekend, trying to transition into going to bed around 4pm, and getting up between midnight and 1am. We hope to get up in time each morning to get Eric somthing to eat before he goes to work.
I finished the embroisdered quilt squares 5 and 6, and started number 7. When I get 7 and 8 done, I'll post pictures of them. Squares 9-15 are pretty simple, and should be finished faster. My goal is to get them all done by the end of the month.
We ordered from Petsmart.com a filter, heater and light bar for the new 20 gallon tank. They had free shipping, and I found a $10 off coupon. Plus the prices online were almost $10 cheaper per item compared to the store. Over all we saved nearly $40. Now all I still need for that tank is a background. Other than the fish themselves, of course! :) We got the glass cut for a lid on the tank, and the guy at the glass shop said we should be able to buy adhesive handles for the front piece, so we can lift it off for feedings and cleanings. We need to go by either Home Depot, or Lowes and see if they have them.
We have had our yearly invasion of wasps. Each spring, when the weather starts getting warm again, the wasps somehow start finding their way inside our townhouse. The bug guy sprays for them, and normally they are woozy and obviously 'under the infuence' of the bug spray. I would much rather have them crawling than flying. One was crawling on my diningroom chair yesterday, and nearly scared me to death, I didnt see the thing until I was within an inch or two of it. After my heartbeat started again, I got the bug spray and coated the thing until it dripped. I left it right there for Eric to dispose of when he got home from work. I can kill them, but I can't bring myself to pick them up and throw them away. Eeeewww.
