We made it through our long week, although, we are not quite done with the weekend yet, but the end is in sight! All week we got up between 12 and 1am, I made what was either breakfast or lunch, and Eric would head on to work about 3am. He would get home between 1 and 1:30pm, and I would have our supper ready. Bedtime ran about 3-4pm. This worked well until Friday. You see, Saturday the morning shift is shorter, Eric gets home about 9:30am, but Eric has to go back to work for the evening shift around 3pm, so about the time we had been going to bed all week. Eric had gotten as much of his morning show together as he could on Friday morning, so that Saturday morning he could sleep a little later, and hope to get through 'til after the 10pm show Saturday night. We got up at 4:30am this morning, and Eric headed on to work, knowing that we could eat when he got home around 9:30. I pulled left-overs out of the fridge for lunch, but supper is going to be baked potatoes! Yummm!
I cut Eric's hair after breakfast/lunch, and then we both had to shower to get all the little hairs off. Seems no matter what I do, there are little hairs everywhere after Eric's haircuts! Eric ran the vaccumm over the spot we used for his haircut. It turned out well, I think, and he is pleased.
We did a little more bargin shopping today at CVS and Walgreens. If you watch their sale ads, their personal care items can be a great deal!
I went to the eye doctor this week. I hadn't been in several years. I have a small prescription for distance, really only needed for driving. He also recomended a pair of reading glasses, +1, so very light prescription there too. Mostly those are for reading, and for when I am embroidering etc. Haven't gotten either pair yet, but we have been rather busy.
I made Cinnamon ring and two batches of cookies, to take to the tv station and share with everyone there. I went with Eric to work on Thursday, and made the goodies when we got up that morning. The cookies, one batch was peanutbutter chocolate chip, and the other one was chocolate chocolate chip. I have to say that the people at the station are very sweet to me, and complementary to the point of embarrassment. Seriously, you would think I had done some wonderous thing, the way they fawn over goodies! :D As a matter of fact, I had two offers of marriage, should I ever decide to leave Eric, and also I was called several interesting things including a 'Domestic Diva', and 'Cusine Artist'. While very flattering, and all in good fun, for heaven sake! They are COOKIES. lol. I enjoy baking and I certainly don't need to keep baked goods in the house! So sharing pleases everyone.
Our box from petsmart.com arrived yesteday by UPS. The light bar fits perfectly across the top of the tank, and has small tabs that hang down slightly on either end, and that helps hold it in place. I am tickled with it. The heater and the filter look great, can't wait to set it all up and get it going! All we need at this point is a backdrop, which should be cheap, and FISH! lol, well we do have a bit to go before we can get fish! Still have to cycle the tank, but we are getting closer and closer!
