I am so tired!
I've started my job with our Church. I have a group of energetic three year olds. I also have a teenage helper, Jessi, who is great!
Last week we learned about Baby Moses, and then on Wednesday about grown up Moses. This week we are learning about Joshua and Caleb, and then on wednesday more about Joshua.
It is a very different experience for me, being in a Christian enviroment and working with kids. My day care experiences were all main stream. It is fun to work on Bible lessons and not just colors and numbers and shapes. Although we work on those too. :)
I grabbed a beach ball from the supply room today on a whim, and we spent quite a bit of time tossing that thing around. The kids would get bopped in the head with it and then just crack up laughing. It was pure silliness, but such fun! One time it hit me full in the face, and I did manage to catch it, and you should have heard the kids crack up then! It was a hoot!! Jessi and I laughed so hard watching them laugh so hard. We were never quite sure what was so funny about it, but they found it to be hilarious!
Right now I have a backseat full of boxes, curtosy of my friend Joanna who works at JC Penny. We are going to build our own 'walls of Jericho' to knock down tommorrow. I figure it will use up some of their excess energy! Plus, some of the boxes are big, so we are probably going to get several different uses out of them. I loved playing in box tunnels as a kid.
I tell you, my leg barely survives three hours with small children but I am enjoying it! Im ready for a pain pill and a nap by the time the morning is over though!!!
