So Eric and I have been working hard in the yard. We tore up the partial brick walkway, and laid down a new walkway with pavers and gravel. Here are some pics of that process.
Once that project was finished, and it was WORK, let me tell you, we went to get some flowers. We have been working so much at just getting things cleaned up and cleared out and that sort of thing, that we havent gotten to do any beautifying yet. So we got some creeping phlox, in two colors, and a yellow Dahlia, and a lolly pop Lilly, and another flower that i dont know the name for, for the front flower bed. I also got some cute little bunnies to be in my flower bed. Try and find them in the pictures below.
We also got some veggies, two roma tomato plants, one jalapeno plant, and a set of cucumber plants. They are over by themselves along the fence, Ill have to post pictures of them later.
My favorite thing though, are my new rose bushes. They dont look like too much just yet, but they should be beautiful in a few weeks. We got "Chicago Peace", "Blue Girl", and "Mr. Lincoln". Chicago Peace rose it a light peachy pink with some golden tones. There was a lovely bloom on it when we brought it home, but it has since fallen off. Very lovely shape and color though. Blue Girl rose is supposed to be a mauve/lavender/blue color. Have yet to see a bloom on this plant, but we have only had them two days. Mr. Lincoln rose, is supposed to be deep red by the description, but is more of a magenta color, but so georgous! There are two big blooms on this bush right now and at least three more buds.
First, "Blue Girl".
This is "Chicago Peace", I wish I had a good picture of the bloom that is falling off, but there are some more buds yet to open.
Last is "Mr. Lincoln", with two lovely blossoms on it, and lots of buds!
When they bloom out more, I will post more pictures, they were bone dry at the store, and I think it may take a few days to get them the healthiest again.
