The contractor is here fixing the back of the house. He hopes to have it all fixed today, except for touch up painting and a few things like that. Ill be glad to have things fixed. Then I will be able to wash AND dry clothes again. Considering laundry is a never ending chore that I hate at times, I will actually be glad to do laundry!
Eric and I are still dealing with our insurance company. We have renters insurance, and we pay extra to have 'cost of replacement' coverage. The insurance adjuster guy doesn't seem to realize that, and is being a pill. When we threw out the food from the fridge and freezer, we made lists of what was tossed, but most things we didn't know prices for. We pulled some old register receipts and found some prices but not all. So we went to the grocery store last night to work on prices for the food we lost due to the power being out. Our total to replace what we lost is about $280. I don't know how they figure out what you should get for food lost (but it is covered, we checked), but I was a bit flabbergasted by our total. You would never think how much it would cost to replace basically everything in your fridge and freezer. I'm sure the people at the grocery store thought we were weird, going around the store and writing down prices.
As you can see, the blog has a new look. I get bored fairly often with the colors and patterns and have to change things up.
