So shame on me, I haven't been blogging recently! So here are a few quick updates,....

First, the mustang is sold, and is now living at someone's else's house. Kind sad about it, but it was the right choice. We got a great price for it, considering its age. That money will be a big help toward a new car in a month or two.

About the 21st of March, this happened to the taurus-


Yes, on a sunny calm day, our car was innocently sitting in our driveway and and a 33 foot tree branch randomly decided to fall. It crushed the trunk lid, but there was very little damage to the body of the car. The repair estimate was just over 1,200. Well the taurus isn't worth too much, so we did some looking, and found a salvage white trunk lid, and had the body shop pull the old trunk (which had to be cut off, it wouldn't open)and install the salvage trunk lid. They had to hammer the inside of the right side of the trunk opening to make the lid fit, and re-code the lock to use our car key. It cost around $425 all said and done, but much better than the 1,200 the full repair would have been.
Our plan is to work on saving up a good sized downpayment over the next two months, and then get a newer, nicer, more reliable car. Then sell the taurus and put the money from it into savings for car repairs or gas money etc. Since I cant figure out how to sell the taurus and still be able to go get a newer car.
My kids at MMO are doing great. They are great kids, every one of them. I love them all!! It will be very hard on the kids and me at the end of the school year. Ill miss them like crazy!!
